Chichen Itza
Chichen Itza is an ancient city built by the Mayans. The pyramid in the picture is called El Castillo and archaeologists believe that it was built around AD 600. Also, it is 98ft tall. El Castillo is one of the only parts of Chichen Itza that's still intact. It's located here, in Yucatán, Mexico:
Pyramid of the Sun
The Pyramid of the Sun is part of an ancient Mesoamerican city called Teotihuacan. It was built around 200 AD, abandoned around 750 AD, and is 216ft tall. Not much is known about why this pyramid was built, but some people believe that it was made to house a deity from Teotihuacan society. It's located here, in State of Mexico, Mexico.
Basilica de Guadalupe
Basilica de Guadalupe, or the Basilica of our Lady of Guadalupe, is a Catholic church, or basilica, that is visited by many people year round. There are two different basilicas, a new one and an old one. The old one was built in 1709 and the new one was built in 1976. The original image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is inside the new basilica. Arch of Cabo San Lucas
The Arch of Cabo San Lucas is a unique rock formation on the tip of Baja California Sur. It's a very popular tourist spot for pictures and leisure. It also serves as the border between the Gulf of California and the Pacific Ocean. It's located here, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Museo Soumaya
Museo Soumaya is an art museum with over 66,000 works from mainly Europe and Mexico. The main building in the picture (in Plaza Carso) was built in 2011 and is 151ft tall. The museum gets around 1.1 million visitors year round. It's located here, in Mexico City, Mexico.
Muyil
Muyil is an ancient Mayan city with the ruins if a pyramid in it. Nobody knows when this city was built, but artifacts from here date back to around 350 BC. Archaeologists believe that it could've been tied to Cabo, another ancient Mayan city through trade. It's located here, in Quintana Roo, Mexico.
